Laminated and Safety Glass
We produce laminated glass and secured of the best quality, specially designed to meet the most demanding safety and aesthetic requirements. Our products are ideal for any type of interior and exterior design, bringing added security and modern design.
Laminated glass offers additional protection, being made of two or more layers of glass, interspersed with plastic film, which makes it resistant to impact and reduces the risk of breakage. In addition, the safety glass is heat treated to be much more resistant, having the ability to break into small, uncut pieces, reducing the risks of accidents.
Whether you want to add an elegant look to modern facades, install safe balustrades or separate spaces with glass partitions, our products are made to the highest international standards. Thus, we ensure not only functionality, but also a special visual impact in any design project.

Laminated Glass
Laminated glass is a type of glass composed of two or more layers of glass, separated by a layer of plastic material, usually EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) or PVB (polyvinyl butyral), of different thicknesses. This intermediate layer prevents the glass from breaking into small pieces, reducing the risk of accidents and providing increased protection.
Insulating glazing production typically uses laminated glass from 331 or 442 up to 88.2 (including lowE coating and multi-layers) to suit specific project needs.
It can be made of float glass, colored glass or glass with special treatment, such as UV protection glass, to provide complete solutions for every project.
VALRAS laminated glass meets international safety standards such as EN 12543 and EN 12600, guaranteeing quality and reliability in any application.
The advantages of laminated glass
- Safety: Laminated glass is designed to remain intact even after impact, thus preventing injury from shards.
- Security: This type of glass, depending on the configuration, can satisfy various levels of security, according to the standards
- Noise reduction: Laminated glass can reduce the noise level, being a good solution for windows facing busy streets.
- Protection against UV radiation: Laminated glass can be treated to block up to 99% of UV radiation, thus protecting furniture and decorations from decay.

Bulletproof glass
Bulletproof glass is a special type of laminated glass, obtained by laminating several sheets of glass, which gives it increased protection against projectiles.
This glass is used in special applications where security is maximum, spaces that require protection against armed attacks. Bulletproof glass is obtained by laminating several sheets of glass, separated by layers of plastic material such as PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) or EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate). The number and thickness of the glass sheets, as well as the type of film used, are determined according to the level of protection required. The more glass sheets and foils are used, the more impact resistant and effective the glass becomes in stopping projectiles.
The advantages of bulletproof glass
- Projectile protection: Bulletproof glass is designed to stop bullets and protect against armed attacks, making it ideal for high security applications.
- Impact resistance: This glass can withstand strong impacts without breaking completely, which reduces the risk of injury and allows time for intervention.
- Special applications: Bulletproof glass is used in banks, currency exchange offices, jewelry stores and other spaces that require maximum protection.
Bulletproof glass it is classified into various categories such as C1SA, C2SA and C3SA depending on the level of protection provided.

Secure Glass
Tempered glass, also known as tempered glass, is a type of glass that has undergone a special heat treatment process to significantly increase its mechanical strength. This process begins by heating the glass to a temperature of over 600 degrees Celsius, at which point the molecular structure of the glass becomes more flexible and easier to handle. After this stage, the glass is rapidly cooled by a controlled air flow, which causes an internal tension in its material.
The advantages of secured glass
- Increased mechanical strength: Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger than normal glass, thanks to the heat treatment process.
- Increased safety: In case of breakage, the glass fragments into small, uncut pieces, reducing the risk of accidents.
- Durability: Tempered glass withstands higher impacts and extreme weather conditions, making it ideal for outdoor applications.
- Thermal shock protection: It can withstand large temperature differences without cracking, which makes it suitable for areas with temperature fluctuations.
- Combinable with laminated glass: Can be used with other types of glass to provide additional safety solutions.
- Compliance with international standards: Safety glass complies with international safety and quality standards.

Laminated Glass Type On/Off
On/Off laminated glass, also known as smart glass or glass with opacity control, is an innovative product that allows an instant transition from clear glass to frosted glass by simply flipping a switch. This type of glass is obtained by laminating two sheets of glass with a special PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) film between them, which reacts to an electric current.
When powered, the glass becomes clear (ON mode), and when the power is turned off, the liquid crystals become disordered and the glass becomes opaque (OFF mode). This process is completely silent, fast and reversible, allowing for elegant and efficient privacy control.
On/Off glass can be customized in various thicknesses and configurations, including safety glass, tinted glass or special treatments for solar or UV protection.
VALRAS On/Off glass is manufactured according to the strictest quality standards, being ideal for modern spaces and projects where functionality and aesthetics must coexist.
Advantages of ON/OFF laminated glass
Privacy control: The transition from transparent to opaque is done instantly, without curtains or blinds.
Modern design: Offers a sleek and futuristic look, ideal for offices, homes and commercial spaces.
Easy to maintain: The flat surface eliminates the need for frequent cleaning of textiles.
UV protection: Blocks up to 98% of UV radiation when opaque.
Reduction of visual discomfort: In opaque mode, glass diffuses light, reducing glare.
Versatile applications: Suitable for partitions, shower cubicles, windows, conference rooms or smart showcases.
