Certifications
VALRAS has implemented and certified a quality management system, according to the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
The methods of verification and quality assurance control the entire production flow, starting with the supply of raw materials and ending with a rigorous testing of the finished products, in accordance with the EN 1279: 2018 series of standards.
Since our establishment, we have been promoting the quality of our products as a sign of respect for our customers and for the long-term strengthening of a brand. In this spirit, the VALRAS company was the first company in Romania to implement the CE marking for insulating glass, in March 2007, being among the top 3% of companies in the EU, and was for a period of time the only company in Romania that met the legal conditions for introducing products to the market, thus protecting its own customers.
ARGON IN INSULATING GLASS
The maximum percentage of 1% per year of the annual loss of argon from insulating glass is a thorny problem for many glass manufacturing companies in the European Union. In 2009, less than 5% of the companies in the European Union could reach this threshold. VALRAS, thanks to its permanent involvement in product quality, managed to reach the annual argon loss threshold of 0.4%, a fact demonstrated by tests carried out by TNO notified laboratories in the Netherlands.
Also, VALRAS has a device for daily checking on the production flow of the percentage of argon introduced.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
Since quality is the first value for the company, it has voluntarily submitted to the technical-professional certification of the Federation of Construction Societies Patronages, which includes on-site verification of the conditions and capacities of production, storage, delivery, as well as capabilities, as well as verification of compliance in terms of labor legislation, prevention, quality management and a very solid financial situation.
STRUCTURAL BONDING
Faithful to the quality policy implemented and maintained at all levels, we have taken all measures so that even the special bottles executed in our production units comply with all quality and production control norms. In this sense, authorizations were obtained, following inspections, regarding structural bonding, from the largest suppliers of structural silicone for these types of applications, SIKA AG and Dow Corning.
VALRAS strictly carries out all stages of factory production control for these types of structural bonding, provided in ETAG.
SAINT GOBAIN CERTIFICATIONS
The collaboration between VALRAS and SAINT GOBAIN dates back to 1995, becoming over time a strategic partnership. VALRAS used Cool-Lite K type glass for the first time in Romania (Opera Center Bucharest), being a successful project. To demonstrate the high level of processing of special bottles, VALRAS requested and obtained from SAINT GOBAIN the certification of the processing in optimal conditions of all types of special bottles, being the only company in Romania with this type of certification (according to Saint-Gobain's statements).
INDUSTRIAL MODELS
The policy pursued in the field of innovation led to the creation of special artistic glass models, for which industrial model certificates were obtained from the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks.
